I had to leave a review because Controlling Systems gave PHENOMENAL customer service regarding my new heat pumps. I've spoken to a half dozen companies about getting heat pumps into my home. The quotes were ridiculous - ranging from $35k to $60k - with no flexibility. Just "take it or leave it." Chris from Controlling Systems was so different. He took the time to listen to what I needed, sketched out and explained how all the different options worked, and gave me a range of options to choose from. Rather than doing my whole house at once, he came up with a proposal to do it in two phases over 2-3 years so I could afford it. And he took on the burden of navigating all the rebate complexity so I didn't have to. THEN, Denver City pulled the funding for the rebates after I'd signed with Controlling Systems. Rather than cancel the job, Controlling Systems offered to take the financial hit, and keep the original price. Ryan (the owner) was incredibly nice about the situation, my second awesome experience with his company. 10/10. A fantastic, local company who is honest, listens and does solid work. Can't recommend highly enough.
I can't say enough good things about this company. They are polite, kind, thoughtful, HONEST, and thorough. They also show up on time. My AC unit was not working properly: it would blow and air and not cool. The condenser wasn't even turning on. I called a *different company* first, and the guy came out and immediately said I had to replace my AC, and gave me some quotes. He did not investigating or diagnostics. Then I called Controlling Systems, saying I needed a quote for AC replacement. Chris came out and did a ton of investigating and measuring, and also asked if I had someone run diagnostics. I said no, and he strongly suggested I have someone come run diagnostics to see if my AC could be fixed. After Chris left, he continued to investigate the process for replacing my AC, since I live in a historic building and the set up for the ducted AC is also unusual. He called me back to tell me about permitting issues, etc. The first company said nothing about permits. Then Brian came from Controlling Systems to do the diagnostic work. He investigated, and he rather quickly found that something had tripped the breaker for the electrical circuit for the AC. He simply flipped the switch, and my AC worked again. He also showed me aI needed to change the filter on the air handler. So my cost was $200, rather than $10,000-$20,000. I'm so grateful for the considerate and thoughtful approach that Controlling System demonstrates.
Nothing but the best experience having AC installed by Gemini and Elijah. They worked super hard and did everything the right way. Rory, Ryan, and Rudy were great as well. Customer service is top notch and I feel confident that Controlling Systems is looking out for us.
Absolutely 💯 percent love this company. Hired them to put in a mini split. Process was easy abs straight up. No gimmicks no hassle and no tricks. This company stays in communication and in compliance. My product and my install was perfect!! The entire installation team rocked!! For sure I will use them again!!! Thank you !! Gemini, Elijah, and Dominic did a great job installing my cold climate heat pump mini split and Chris did a great job of helping decide on the right unit for my house. Gemini did a great job of installing my indoor unit and explaining how to run it, Elijah made sure to check with me before connecting the condenser to the indoor unit to make sure the connection was in the location I wanted it, and Dominic was accomodating and completed the electrical how I requested it be done. Chris provided expert advice and quick responses on all my questions leading up to the install. They all did an awesome job and were very professional. They also let me know they are taking care of the xcel rebate paperwork so I can get my rebate. I am looking forward to using my mini split this summer for cooling and in the winter for heating my home. I would recommend Controlling Systems if you want a mini split install done.
