When our Nest thermostat was originally installed, the previous company we worked with installed a controller to manage the 2 stage function of the new furnace instead of installing a new wire. Part of that controller system failed last night (or sometime before that) and the furnace and thermostat could no longer communicate reliably. So the furnace finally stopped running at all and our basic troubleshooting was unable to resolve it. Luke from B&B suspected the controller after seeing the controller brain by the furnace, and wanted to run a new set of wires. Once he pulled out the connector part hidden in the wall, it was clear to see that it had failed in a spectacular way. Now we have clean wiring and our 2 stage furnace is now operating as we intended with high stage running first and low stage maintaining temp afterwards. So, if your Nest thermostat always seems to register the temperature a few degrees hotter than another sensor or thermometer right next to it, it might be because one of these controllers or that the wiring needs to be checked. Heat went out the on Monday and because the weather was warm I did some basic troubleshooting that evening. After determining this was going to need a professional I call B & B first thing Tuesday morning and they had just had a cancellation and were able to send Rod out that morning. Rod was very professional courteous, and friendly. He listen to what I was able to troubleshoot and determined that I had a faulty gas valve. He was able to locate a new valve, pick it up and have it installed in under 2 hour. Great customer service and will use B & B Heating and Air Conditioning in the future.
I’ve had a wonderful experience with B&B installing a new A/C unit. Sebastian and his team were communicative and prompt with the initial installation in the fall. Today (as soon as the weather warmed up again), B&B followed up and Rod came out the same day to do the refrigerant that couldn’t be done due to cold weather in the fall. Rod was extremely professional, polite, friendly, communicative, and sweet with my shy dog! I’ll definitely be using B&B for any and all HVAC needs in the future.
Bo was very friendly and performed the tasks quickly. He also followed up to see if i had any questions. We have had B&B hearing and AC service our AC and furnace for a while and we have no complaints.
