We love JC Mechanical! After an unfortunate situation with another company occurred, we came across Jimmie and his team on a google search, and they saved the day for us and one of our clients. Jimmie immediately jumped to help us, as a business to business partner, he knew the stress and time constraints we were facing. Within a day, he had Zach and Steven at our client's home to help us evaluate the space and plan to install a custom copper hood that was both heavy and very fragile. These men did an amazing job, and we can't thank them enough! For this reason, we are now exclusively going to be using JC Mechanical for all our Heating and Cooling needs. Thank you all so much! -Team QUERENCIA-

This guy Jim stood til 1030 at night working on my MR. Cool system. Did what another company tried multiple times. Got my system going right before snow. I’d recommend JC Mechanical.

I would recommend to find another contractor. For starters, they don't communicate at all. My wife and I have both reached out multiple times to JC Mechanical and we never receive updates or a schedule until a day or two before they are scheduled. And then they cancel 80% of the dates they scheduled and don't even notify us until well after ther were supposed to be here, meaning that my wife or I took a day off of work to meet a contractor who doesn't show up. We've had a contract signed with JC Mechanical since August, work is still not done. They have made 10 visits to our home between September and February and still can't complete the work. The very first visit, JC Mechanical came to our house, sat I'm there truck for 6 hours and then told my wife that they couldn't start work. Within an hour they called us asking for payment saying the work was completed. JC Mechanical tore apart our siding, we got replacement siding for JC Mechanical, we are currently waiting on them to fix the siding and was told they are waiting for siding to come in, we sent them photos of all the siding we have for them here to use, no response. JC Mechanical, told us that we needed Arc Fault breakers. They installed these "special" breakers and they kept tripping. Spent several days troubleshooting this issue. I called the building department and was told that arc Fault breakers were not required. When we informed JC Mechanical this, they canceled the next visit and left us wondering when they were returning to finish. When they did return...they still didn't finish. I've been dealing with this contractor for going on 6 months, for a "simple" job. Yes that is half a year and work is still incomplete. Not only that, but JC Mechanical has left razor blades in our yard, nails and screws in our laundry, open tool bags, a ladder, open box knives and trash all over the place. The only reason they get 1 star is because 0 stars is bot an option.

I am not sure how JC Mechanical is with HVAC installs, but for electrical panels.... they truly struggled. Contacted in August 2024. Job completed April 2025. I heard nothing once I signed the contact. Had to call and found out they were waiting on permits. September 2024 was the first time someone arrived for the install. Excel wasn't set up properly to shut off power. So they postponed until October. (again lack of communication) I will say that they tried and did make sure we weren't without essential power for more then 14 hours. Between September 2024 and April 2025 JC Mechanical came to work on the electrical panel several times. (more then 10) With several days of the power being shut off for a few hours. Several occasions we were told the electrician would show up and he would arrive hours later or never arrive. Towards the end of the project my husband and I had a running joke on if they would even show up each day it was so frequent. My husband and I had to drive the job moving forward. JC Mechanical took little to no initiative to complete this job without our prompting. They did not understand current requirements. I had an inspector out for another project and asked about something on the electrical panel that JC Mechanical was struggling to get working to be told it wasn't necessary. I then informed JC Mechanical and the job progressed. JC Mechanical had difficulty with the siding on the home. So much that JC Mechanical had us ask the contactor who was working on the communities hail damage to help fix it. Thankfully, the hail damage contactor was able to fix the siding at no additional cost. JC Mechanical did say if we were charged, they would cover it. If scheduling and the amount of man hours used for an electrical panel box swap (no upgrades or moving the box) wasn't enough of a headache, the finance team was told the job was completed the day BEFORE they arrived to start working on the project back in September 2024. I had to take weekly calls from the financing company to again and again explain that the work was not yet completed. Getting our electrical panel box swapped from JC Mechanical was not a pleasant experience. I would NOT recommend them for swapping an electrical panel.

Repeated No-Shows, Price Gouging, and Dodging Accountability – Avoid at All Costs I had a highly disappointing and frustrating experience with JC Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning LLC in Colorado, and I want to help others avoid a similar situation. I hired JC Mechanical to replace about 2 feet of damaged dryer duct in my home. They quoted $3,283, claiming it would require disassembling and reassembling a large section of my HVAC system in the utility room, with at least 8 hours of labor and expensive parts. What actually happened: The technician cut a 12” x 12” hole in the moisture resistant drywall ceiling of a bathroom (not even in the same room as the HVAC system), installed a short piece of $15 flexible dryer duct, and finished the job in under an hour — including the time it took to leave and buy the duct work. The HVAC system was never touched, and the bathroom ceiling was left open and unrepaired. Yet, they charged me the full $3,283 as if they had done the complex work originally quoted. That alone would be bad enough. But the experience was even worse: • They were a complete no-show to their first scheduled appointment. I stayed home all day, called and messaged their office repeatedly — no response. • That evening, they finally called back, apologized, and rescheduled. • At the rescheduled appointment, they were several hours late — again with no notice and no response to my calls. • After the overcharge, I called their office multiple times. I was repeatedly told the owner would call me back — he never did. • Eventually, they blocked my phone number. • When I called from my wife’s phone, they answered, again promised a call back, then blocked her number too. In my opinion, JC Mechanical: • Grossly misrepresented the scope of work to justify an inflated price, • Performed a simple, low-cost repair, and • Then avoided all responsibility once payment was received. This wasn’t just poor service — it was unethical and deceptive. I strongly recommend avoiding this company. If you do consider hiring them, get everything in writing up front, including a detailed scope of work and itemized cost breakdown. Make sure the work quoted matches what’s actually done. And do not make final payment until you're fully satisfied — because once they’re paid, you may never hear from them again.
