Bobby did a fantastic job cutting my hair. I like a clipper cut down the sides, blending into a scissor cut up top, maybe 2.5-3.5 inches with a high side part that's difficult to nail so I don't end up with tufts sticking up all the time, and Bobby crushed it, and blended the corners between the clipper and scissor cuts perfectly. Been looking for a good barber in Colorado for a few years now, tried a lot of people, and I've finally found what I'm looking for. I will be back. Bonus, he did a great job trimming and lining up my beard for me. Fun atmosphere, several animal trophies and dude stuff on the walls with punk and metal playing but not too loud. Great conversation to be had if you want it.
Brought my very reserved 16 year old son for a super big change - Bobby was great with him and gave him the exact cut that he wanted. As a licensed cosmetologist it was definitely hard to give up the reigns and have someone else cut his hair after a lifetime of doing it myself but the final result was something beyond either of us could have asked for! 3 years of growth ended up on the floor after months of my son debating on what he wanted to do and I am so glad we trusted Old Gold and Bobby. Teenagers are tough and his smile after all was said and done was totally worth it! Thank you!
Made an appointment for 3:30. I was running late which is my fault, but there is no way to reschedule the appointment and no phone number to call to give a heads up. I went in even tho I was running late to try and reschedule and was told there weren’t any other appointments today “maybe someone else has an opening a different day” Checked my card and I was charged for the haircut anyway. Went back and was told “yeah that’s policy”. The barber could care less and was probably excited that he made $60 for not doing anything. I understand charging for no shows, but to have no flexibility and then expect that I’m going to pay twice for 1 haircut is crazy. I have had one other haircut here that was great, but I will not be going back. I’m not one to leave reviews, but I was super disappointed with the lack of hospitality.
Cole is a fantastic barber. Best haircut I’ve had since moving back to Denver 5 years ago. He takes his time consulting with you before cutting your hair to find out what haircut you want and what you like about it. It feels good to look good. Don’t overthink it, schedule Cole and you’ll be glad you did!
Bobby does an amazing job! Moved here in May & haven’t been able to find anyone to cut my hair correctly - Bobby did it with ease & was very professional. Definitely recommend!
