I recently toured the Phenix Salon Suites in Northglenn with interest in renting a space, and I left feeling very conflicted. On the surface, the facility is clean and reasonably maintained, but it’s definitely outdated. What really stood out—and not in a good way—were the overwhelming number of signs posted everywhere: “No eating inside,” “No kids in hallway,” “Don’t sit here.” It gave the space a cold, unwelcoming vibe that would likely feel off-putting to future clients. During my visit, I made a point to talk with several current tenants, and unfortunately, I heard the same concerns repeated: rent continues to go up with little to no added value, and the landlord is known for being overly involved to the point of micromanagement—emails, texts, even letters slipped under doors. One of the more bizarre new rules? Tenants are no longer allowed to wash their own blankets on-site. For estheticians and similar professionals, that’s not just inconvenient—it’s a disruption to their business. The weekly rent is currently $245–$300, which feels high considering the condition of the space and the surrounding area. The strip mall is mostly vacant, which doesn’t exactly give off a thriving business atmosphere. Several tenants I spoke with said they’re actively looking for new locations due to the constant rent hikes and management style. Overall, while the idea of a suite-style salon is appealing, this particular location doesn’t offer the value, freedom, or professional atmosphere that most beauty and wellness pros are looking for.
don’t recommend booking with Carrie, she will cancel on you a few hours before your appointment you’ve had booked like a week and a half prior that you also took the day off for. i unfortunately now have to use box dye on my hair to feel pretty and not end up shaving my head. the most unprofessional upsetting experience ive dealt with. and i could’ve been working today.
I had Jessie in suite 108. This was my first haircut in Colorado, so I’ve been really nervous about going to get my hair cut since I’ve had times where they cut too short. She did an amazing job! Cut off what was needed while keeping it long, and gave me light layers. Got my hair feeling healthy again without even taking much off. Definitely would recommend.
Love this place. I travel/drive 1 hour to Phoenix Salon to have my hair done by Nicole Fox she is fantastic!! And does exactly what I want and I've always been happy with the results. I'd travel 2 hours if needed too. I highly recommend this place and Nicole Fox for all your hair needs.
I booked with Jessie and she was great! Asked me questions about what I wanted and confirmed the length she was going to cut before we got started. She was very professional and I’m super satisfied with the outcome. She might specialize in men’s cuts, but don’t let that keep you from booking as a woman. Definitely returning.
