My husband & I were heartbroken recently when we realized our only choice was to put our very beloved little Molly down. However, it's hard to overstate how wonderful Dr. Wood and her entire team were. So very kind and loving, both to Molly and to us throughout the weeks of her illness, and of course, at the end. Can't recommend them highly enough! PS ~ as if all this weren't enough, we just received a notification that Dr. Wood had made a donation to the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in Molly's memory!
I was looking for a more affordable vet for my fur babies and found South Platte, from the very first call to ask questions and make an appointment they were extremely friendly and helpful. I brought my oldest dog in who is very frightful and anxious around others and he remained fairly calm and they were wonderful with him. Not only did I find a more affordable option but the level of care, empathy, and respect they give is incredible. I am happy to bring all of my animals here. Keep doing what you are doing please!
Dr. Charlie was one of my favorite vets. She's so caring and the service was individualized. It used to be that I could email her personally. The entire staff was so nice and professional and then it was bought by a corporation. Now the service is impersonal and they are worried about nothing but their liability and the money that they're making. I had a cat I was fostering for someone that needed to be put to sleep. She had multiple health problems and they refused to help me. Dr. Charlie would have never refused to help me. She would have seen the cat and known that that was the best choice for the cat. Instead I was treated like I was someone who might just want to put a cat to sleep for no reason. Sadly my several cats who have been coming here will no longer be coming here. Currently looking for a veterinarian that is not corporate owned. I refuse to support the corporate cause collecting as much money as possible for his little service as possible.
We love everyone at South Platte Vet! They are so helpful and take excellent care of our 3 dogs. One of our dogs has been historically difficult at vets in the past, and this is the first vet team who knows how to calm her and make each visit a really nice experience for her (and us).
All the staff at South Platte are amazing. The website makes it easy to book an appointment and I love that they’re open on Saturdays. My dog HATES the vet. But the staff at South Platte have cured her anxiety. They are always so patient, kind, and get down on her level making her super comfortable. We moved 30 minutes away but I’ll still continue taking my dog here.
