Gave me scalp burns that I'm still trying to fix after a year and a half. The perm wasn't even left on my hair for that long yet she still managed to damage part of my scalp. I'll likely have to see a doctor for this. The owner cannot do hair at all despite having years of experience and seems to only be concerned about money. Learn how to do natural hair instead of messing up people's hair with harmful chemicals. It's not "easier" to put relaxer in, Stephanie (the stylist) is just lazy and unwilling to learn. Avoid at all costs.
I am traveling for work in the Denver/Aurora area. I found Sassy Shears through Google. She was able to get me in the same day for a perm,roller set and to shave the sides and back. I wear my hair longer on the top and shaved on the sides/back. When I got there she said she would even my hair where it had previously broken off from the color I had on it. She also said she could do a color rinse to bring out the bronze and browns. By the time I left she had cut most of my hair off and colored it burgundy black. When I saw it I said you colored my hair burgundy. She was like do you like it? No I don't. I think I left in shock. I even gave her a tip. I don't think I realized how much she cut off until a few days later. When I see the color in the mirror I just cry. We never discussed anything she did to my hair. She literally did the opposite of everything we did discuss (besides the perm). I would be very leery of going to this shop/beautician. I would not recommend it. I would not want anyone else to experience what I experienced. It was truly heartbreaking.
This month marks 6 years that Ms. Stephanie has been doing my hair. Sassy Shears is a professional and relaxing environment, with a variety of clients I enjoy visiting with. I remember my first visit so vividly, she took her time and treated me very well, told me what she recommended and the outcome was perfect! Each visit I get consistent, quality service. I’ve grown to know Ms. Stephanie and her family, and I know they are too blessed to be stressed and strive for perfection and encourage others to follow their dreams. I admire Ms. Stephanie for her work ethic and dedication to ensuring all clients have an enjoyable experience. Thank you
Beware. She violated me by running a perm twice fully through my hair when I specifically asked her not to, because I knew it would over process my hair. I just wanted a touch up to have manageable texturised hair. As she was doing it she said, “you don’t tell the doctor how much appendix to remove.” Sorry to inform you are not a doctor. You are not even a hair doctor that cares about the health of hair. Your concern is dollar signs. My thick mid back hair length is now broken off. She not only damaged my hair, but charged me a fortune to mess it up. I agree scam alert!
